I have to say this: how incredibly convenient to be able to sit at my desk and listen in on perfectly clear AllStarLink nets while I work. I can participate if I want to with a quick *99 press on the phone's keypad, and # to stop transmitting. While I had previously used an AllStarLink phone patch to do this, that meant I was calling over my VoIP phone line and getting charged by the minute. Conversely, Hamshack Hotline is free!
